GTECHNIQ-grade — up to 3 years

Ceramic coating in Dallas

Mobile ceramic coating across Dallas. A hard, hydrophobic layer bonded to your clear coat — water stops clinging, dirt stops sticking, and the gloss holds for years instead of weeks. We coat the glass, the wheels and the seats too.

Why bother

Wax lasts weeks. This lasts years.

A coating is not a better wax. It is a different thing: a layer that chemically bonds to the surface instead of sitting on top of it waiting to wash off. Everything below is about the paint — the glass, wheel and interior coatings work the same way, but they are topped up in months rather than years.

Water leaves on its own

Rain beads up and rolls off instead of sheeting and drying into spots. Most of the dirt on your car leaves with it.

UV is what kills paint here

Texas sun oxidises clear coat and fades colour. The coating takes that hit for years instead of the paint taking it now.

Washing gets easier

Less sticks, so less scrubbing — and less scrubbing is what stops new swirls appearing in the first place.

GTECHNIQ-grade, applied right

The product matters less than the prep. Coating over swirls locks them in, so the paint gets corrected first, every time.

The proof

This is what you’re paying for

Not the shine. Anyone can hand you shine. What you are buying is paint that water gives up on — and keeps giving up on, long after a wax would have washed off.

What it leaves

That beading is the whole point

When water pulls itself into tight beads like this, it means the surface is repelling it rather than wetting out. Dirt behaves the same way: it has nothing to grip.

Here is the part nobody tells you: wax does this too — on day one. That is the trick every quick detailer leans on, because the afternoon it goes on, a $40 wax and a $400 coating look identical. The difference shows up in month six, when the wax has long washed off and the coating is still doing this.

It is also why washing gets easier and not just prettier. Water that leaves on its own takes most of the dirt with it, so there is less to scrub — and less scrubbing is exactly what stops new swirls appearing in your paint.

And when the beading does start to flatten, it usually means the coating is dirty, not dead. A proper decontamination wash brings it back.

FAQ

Questions, answered

What a coating does, and what it does not.

Is a ceramic coating scratch-proof?

No, and anyone who says otherwise is selling something. It is harder than your clear coat and it shrugs off some light marring, but a shopping trolley still wins. What it does is stop the swirls that come from washing a dirty car, because less dirt sticks to begin with.

How long does it really last?

Up to 3 years. That is with normal washing — no automatic brush washes, which will chew through a coating faster than anything the weather does.

Do you correct the paint first?

Always. A coating locks in whatever is underneath, so putting one over swirls means sealing the swirls in for three years. That is why the price depends on the car.

Do I still have to wash it?

Yes. It makes washing far easier and far less frequent, but a coating is not a force field. It is the difference between a rinse and an afternoon.

Is it worth it over a sealant?

If you are keeping the car a couple of years or more, yes — a sealant lasts up to 12 months, a coating up to 3 years. If you are selling next spring, the one-step with sealant is the sensible money.

Do I have to coat everything?

No. The paint is the one people come for; the glass, the wheels and the seats are add-ons you can take or leave. Doing them in the same visit is cheaper than calling us back for each one.

Why does the paint last years and the rest only months?

Different surfaces, different products. Paint gets a hard coating that bonds to the clear coat and stays put. Glass gets wiped by your wipers, wheels get blasted with brake dust and heat, and seats get sat on — those take the abuse, so they are topped up rather than done once.

Can you do it in my driveway?

Yes. We bring our own water and power. Coating needs a clean, dry, sheltered-enough spot to cure, so we will talk through your setup when you book.
